Celebrating Michelle

Michelle treated herself to this shoot to celebrate a milestone birthday and coming out on the other side of a difficult 2024.

She grew up in a small town in South Carolina as a bit of a wild child!

In high school Michelle was a competitive water skier and a self-proclaimed Band Geek. After graduation, she attended a small all-girls college in Spartanburg SC but knew that was probably not one of her best decisions and transferred to the University of South Carolina in Columbia the next year. She loved USC, joined Kappa Kappa Gamma, participated in the marching band flag guard and embraced all that campus life had to offer.

Michelle’s professional journey led her into technology and across 4 states. Currently she is the head of the technology project management team for a financial institution based in Nashville. Her team handles all types of projects ranging from building new banking locations, implementing new software applications and modernizing technical infrastructure, while keeping everything running seamlessly behind the scenes. She is one of the few women leaders in their technology organization. Way to represent!

She also volunteers her time mentoring young people who are interested in or just getting started in the field of technology.

Michelle is the mom of two boys. Her oldest recently graduated from the University of Kentucky and is launching his own career at Dell. Her youngest is starting his senior year at BGA, where he also plays varsity baseball. Outside of work and family, Michelle loves socializing, traveling, and spending time with her friends. When life gives her a little extra time, she enjoys sewing and making jewelry.

Whether it’s leading technology projects, cheering on her son at the baseball field, or hanging with friends, Michelle brings energy, warmth, and her own sparkle to everything she does.

As you can see in her photos, Michelle is so much fun and I loved getting to know her a bit! She is rocking 2025 with new goals and dreams.
