Susan is a seasoned real estate attorney with over 23 years in the profession, now thriving in her second act as a qualified intermediary specializing in 1031 exchanges at a national firm. She’s passionate about helping clients grow wealth through investment properties and is deeply committed to educating professionals and guiding people through some of the most important financial decisions of their lives. She and her husband are also real estate investors, which gives her an even deeper connection to the clients she serves.

But beyond the busy world of law and real estate, Susan is also a devoted mom—juggling work, sports schedules, and family life with grace. Her youngest son is in 7th grade at Lipscomb Academy and is a true multi-sport athlete—football, baseball, basketball, and track—but football is where he truly shines. Last year, his team made it all the way to the SEC Little League Championships, and she was right there, cheering him on every step of the way.

Originally from California, Susan came from humble beginnings—raised in an immigrant family where hard work wasn’t optional, it was simply how things were done. She put herself through college and law school as a single mom, often juggling books, work, and bedtime stories all in the same night. After more than two decades in private practice in California, she and her husband took a leap of faith and moved their family to Tennessee in 2021—and they haven’t looked back since.

When she’s not in the office or on the sidelines, Susan loves to travel. Hawaii is her happy place—she and her family used to go every year when they lived on the West Coast. These days, it’s a bit more of a trek from Nashville, but she just returned from a beautiful, much-needed trip to Maui.

She also has an eye for meaningful treasures—especially jewelry. At Nashville’s Thai Festival, she discovered a non-removable jade bracelet that has quickly become one of her favorite pieces.

And here’s a fun fact: Susan is also a certified feng shui master! She notices every detail of a space the moment she walks in. Luckily, my studio passed her vibe check with flying colors (pure luck, I promise!).

It was such a joy photographing Susan—capturing both her confident professional side and her warm, playful spirit. This session wasn’t just about new photos. It was about honoring a milestone, embracing all the chapters that brought her here, and celebrating everything that lies ahead.
