Jenni was the first participant in my "40 Over 40" campaign, a project celebrating the confidence, beauty, and stories of women in their 40s and beyond. She was excited to be involved because she resonated with the theme of celebrating and SEEING women at this stage of life.
Jenni is a brand strategist, designer, and owner of Luminea Creative. With over 20 years of experience, she helps nonprofits illuminate their brand, amplify their message, and expand their reach. She strongly believes that when your visuals match your values, you form deeper connections with your community.
Some of her clients include: Vanderbilt University, Catholic Charities–Diocese of Nashville, Prenatal-to-3 Policy Institute, Nashville Ballet, Alive Hospice, and the Nashville Shakespeare Festival.
Growing up, Jenni was into both music and art. She played the violin and sang, as well as drew and painted. She ultimately decided on a career in graphic design, but has loved living here in Music City for the past 24 years.
Jenni started her career at an ad agency, but after working in-house for Vanderbilt University, she decided she preferred working with nonprofits. In 2018, Jenni became an independent designer and realized that working with these organizations allowed her to make a bigger impact on causes she cared deeply about.
Outside of her career, Jenni is married and is a proud mother to twin daughters, aged 13, who share her parents’ love for music and creativity. One plays the euphonium, and the other plays both the violin and oboe.
Traveling is another passion for Jenni and her family. They’ve visited numerous amazing destinations—most recently, a bucket-list trip to Alaska, where they experienced first-hand its abundant wildlife and harsh beauty.
When she’s at home, Jenni enjoys gardening, baking, and hiking. However, she has one strong aversion: ticks. After a baby tick infestation on a trip to the Land Between the Lakes, she researched the best and safest insect repellent! I'm trying out her recommendation as I have no love for ticks either!
A fun fact about Jenni: she was a local runway model in high school!!
Jenni’s journey has been shaped by her creative spirit, her passion for helping others, and her commitment to making a difference.
I loved photographing Jenni and even more, getting to know her and share a small portion of her story.
Thank you Jenni!
